SUMMARY:MilkSure Training Part 1

This helps to avoid medicine residues and to help reduce antibiotic resistance. \n\n\n\nThe course is split into two parts. The first being theoretical which helps you to understand how antibiotic failures occur\, why they matter and how to avoid them. What is the law on medicine use and what are the common pitfalls with withdrawal periods? It also fulfils the Red Tractor HHP requirement for medicine training. \n\n\n\nThe second part is on farm which allows you to carry out an individual risk assessment for your farm (not included in cost of this meeting.  \n\n\n\nPlease contact Claire to register or if you have any further questions.

SUMMARY:Emergency First aid at work course
DESCRIPTION:Location TBC \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFor further information and to book please contact: info@livestockvets.co.uk \n\n\n\nFarming is a hazardous industry. Farmers work with potentially dangerous machinery\, vehicles\, chemicals\, livestock\, at height or near pits and silos. In addition\, they are exposed to the effects of bad weather\, noise and dust. As a result of these risks an average of 12\,000 farmers sustain non-fatal injuries each year. \n\n\n\nFamily members working at the farm and children living at the farm are also at risk of injury. \n\n\n\nHow amazing would it be if everyone knew basic first aid and had the confidence to step forward and help when needed? \n\n\n\nWith that in mind we regularly offer First Aid training at The Livestock Partnership. Our next Emergency First Aid at Work (valid for 3 years) course is taking place on Thursday 26 January 2023 at a cost of £80 per person.  The course mixes theory\, practice and assessment and is delivered by a Qualified and experienced trainer\, at the end of which you will have the skills and knowledge to provide initial treatment to casualties in the workplace in a prompt\, safe and effective manner.
